Check out our favorite items of 2019
It honestly still hasn’t hit me yet that we are done with 2019… I mean where in the world did this year go? The period between Thanksgiving and Christmas was especially fast for us and I feel like I need to catch my breath.
One of the things I like to do this time of year is to reflect on some of our favorite products that we’ve purchased throughout the year and since I always love reading about the favorite items of other bloggers I follow, I thought it would be fun to do one of my own.
So after sitting down and going over everything I narrowed it down to a few of our favorite items of 2019! These are the best of the best out of all of the products we have purchased throughout the year and I hope you enjoy it.

One major contributor to some of our favorite decor pieces this year was Serena & Lily. At Serena & Lily, they believe living well begins at home and they help you achieve that with the high-quality items they carry. Most of the items are classic pieces that have fit into our home perfectly. I recommend checking out their home decor selections when you are searching for pieces you want to last for years to come.
- Sutter quilt + Shams from Serena and Lily First up on our favorite items from 2019 is this gorgeous Sutter quilt + Shams from Serena and Lily. This quilt is something that was on my list of wants for over three years and now that I have one I kick myself that I didn’t get it sooner. The material is 100% linen which and is a classic staple for any home and I love the way it instantly made our bedroom look like you just walked into a hotel. Ever since I was a teenager having a super comfy bed has always been important to me and choosing pieces made of linen, down or just high-quality textiles, in general, is a foolproof way to achieve that kind of comfort.
2. Next up on our list is this set of Solid La Jolla Baskets from Serena and Lily. Having storage that also performs as decor is always a plus but the fact that we now have hidden storage in our master bedroom checks off all of the boxes on our wishlist for our bedroom. These baskets are high quality, handmade pieces and we couldn’t be happier with them plus I love the texture that they add to the space.
3. Of course, it wouldn’t be a P.A.D roundup if I didn’t include the new pillows that have been decking our living room out lately. The Topanga Pillow Cover instantly became one of my favorites not only because of the gorgeous light gray color which fits in perfectly with all of our decor but also because it comes in a large 24″x24″ size that helps fill space without making the sofa or bed look too cluttered. The tassels on each side are just an added bonus. We also snagged the Kentfield Pillow Cover in lumbar which makes mixing & matching sizes fun.
4. This Dip Dyed Stool is a great classic and can be used just about anywhere. We added it to a corner in our bedroom as a plant stand which I love but you can also use it anywhere you need a little place to sit something or even use it as an actual step stool. Because of that, this is something I would buy over and over again without hesitation.
5. For years I have wanted a Dyson V7 Motorhead Stick Vacuum to use around the house. We have only had ours for a few weeks but I absolutely love it and can’t wait to find more places to use it… For the first few days we all wanted to vacuum everything and for a stick vacuum its amazing how well this thing picks up. We are also purchasing these attachments so we can use it to clean our mattress monthly… If you have never watched someone do this then you MUST go watch this video… The amount of dust that comes out of the mattress is insane and pretty much makes you never want to not vacuum your mattress again.
6. On Black Friday I snagged this T-FAL pan set on a whim because ours were looking extra crappy after too many cycles in the dishwasher. I went in thinking I would just get them to hold us over until we were able to decide on a high-quality set and I am 100% SHOCKED at how good they are! The largest pan that comes in the set has quickly become my favorite and when compared to other sets the size is substantial. At this point, I can’t speak on the longevity but I read tons of reviews from people that have had their pans for 10 plus years so I am hopeful they will last that long with extra good care and no, I will not be putting them in the dishwasher this go-round.
7. At the beginning of the year after hearing everyone rave about this I finally jumped on the bandwagon and have been a faithful Tarte Shape Tape user ever since. For a girl that still wears a ton of the same products as I did in high school this product is a little pricey at $27.00 but it is 1000% worth it. Plus it helps that a tiny bit goes a long way so in one year I have only needed to purchase around 3 times. If you haven’t tried it yet be sure to give it a shot, you have nothing to lose because Ulta always stands by its products so just hold on to your receipt because if you hate it you can take it back for a 100% refund regardless of the fact that you’ve used the product.
8. Although I just purchased this, the Brockton Bobble Sweater is hands down my favorite clothing purchase of the year! The cut is very flattering for all body types and I love that it is loose in the mid-section where I tend to hold extra weight and the warm heather cedar color is the perfect color for these warmer months. It is also 20% off right now with code MEGA MEGA.
9. For years the only leggings I wore were from VS and honestly super expensive which was fine when they would last me a year but the last few pairs I purchased almost immediately ripped or got random holes in the seams I set out to find a new go-to… I searched for what seemed like forever until I came across the Aerie chill leggings. Honestly, I wasn’t really expecting much considering the cheap price point but I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and quality not to mention that unlike my old favorites they are not see-through which is a huge plus for me. I feel so much better about purchasing these because if they do rip or get a hole in the seam they are much more affordable to replace vs the $40 pair I used to wear.
10. The Zip Top Transport Crossbody bag was a bit of an investment but it has been my daily carry since I got it. It comes in 100% leather and is the perfect size for those of us that love a bag that isn’t too large but not too small either.
This post was so fun for me, I always like to read about what other people love or find helpful in their daily lives so this post was a lot of fun for me to write. Thank you all for another wonderful year in the books and for always supporting me. Happy New Year!

Thank you so much, Erica, you totally made my day! I kind of fell off of the blogging schedule wagon but hope to get back to normal this month.
